She was singer performer designer who broke through the barriers of the industry of music. Her ethnicity was Mexican American, however she was still traditional. She brought Tejano to mainstream culture. It was an emerging star who's tragic death threw it into turmoil. It is also the case for a gifted, charming and young musician is lost too quickly and is buried, many mourned the greatness that she had yet to attain. Since then, her fans have been working more to not forget what she's accomplished. The death of Selena triggered emotions in the Latino community that is likened in a way to Elvis Presley, and John Lennon. She was an incredibly well-known singer for Latinos across North America. But her music touched both the young and old. Selena, who was hot and glamorous stage performer who is sometimes referred to as Latina Madonna, was also a model offstage. Selena was also active in antidrug campaigns.
